Three things decide which scaffolding you need: the reach or capacity the work demands, the ground it has to stand on, and how it gets onto site in the first place. Access is the one people forget.
The main classes here are baker scaffold, frame scaffold set, mast climbing platform, rolling scaffold tower, suspended swing stage. Work out which class you are in first, then compare suppliers inside it - comparing across classes on price alone is how the wrong machine ends up on site.
Ask what the rate actually includes. Delivery, collection, the damage waiver and any environmental fee are all real money, and a low headline rate can lose to a higher one once they are added.
Most of this class can be run without a formal ticket, but read the machine notes: site rules and insurers often ask for more than the law does.
How much does it cost to hire scaffolding?
It depends on the size of the machine and how long you need it. Pick your dates on this page and each supplier shows the all-in price for exactly those days, including delivery and any fees, before you commit to anything.
How far ahead do I need to book?
We need 24 hours notice, and popular sizes go early in busy weeks. Booking two or three days out gives you the most choice of supplier.
Is delivery included?
Delivery and collection are priced separately by each supplier and shown in your quote before you pay. Where a machine can be collected from the yard, pickup is free.
Do I need a licence to operate scaffolding?
Generally no formal ticket is needed, but check the listing: the supplier notes any training or certification they require before releasing the machine.
What happens if I need it for longer?
Tell the supplier before your off-hire date and they extend the booking at the same rate. If the extension crosses into a weekly or four-week band, the cheaper band applies.
What if the machine breaks down?
Mechanical failure that is not your doing is the supplier’s to fix. Contact them through the booking and they will repair or swap the unit; you are not charged for the downtime.
